Locals is seeking talented employees who crave learning new skills and aren’t afraid to tackle big projects. As an intern you will get to work with a variety of our staff, while working on real projects that will help us grow.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is detail and results driven who enjoys thinking outside the box.
You will learn about land management, field crops, hydroponics, and growing vertically. You will learn about the different kinds of herbs and greens, their growing requirements in hydroponics, and diseases and pests and ways to manage them in a warehouse farm.
We are looking for someone who can learn quickly and be proactive in helping maintain a safe, clean, and healthy working environment. The intern will need transportation to and from the farm.
Interns must earn college credit and provide the proper documentation and review paperwork .
While the bulk of the learning experience will involve maintaining our grow racks and warehouse farm, Locals promises to hold weekly meetings answering any questions the intern should have, and provide any advice on the managerial and business side of the operation should the intern be interested.
Ideally we are looking for someone who is nearing graduation and could potentially join our team full time next year.
Please send your resume, cover letter, and dates available along with a description about yourself and why you are interested in farming.
